Global icon Valentino Rossi will return to Brands Hatch for a third successive season as part of Team WRT’s BMW line-up in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS round at the Kent circuit on 4/5 May.

The Moto GP legend, who has contested a full season in the championship for the past two seasons will combine a full assault on the Fanatec GT Europe Endurance Cup with just two appearances in the Sprint Cup – one at his home round of Misano in addition to the fixture at Brands Hatch.

Rossi will once again share driving duties with Maxime Martin in the Sprint Cup rounds, the duo returning to Brands Hatch a year on from their famous podium last May. Fans can see Rossi at the wheel in a pair of hour-long races around the Kent venue’s famed longer Grand Prix layout.

Rossi and Martin will form part of a multi-car line-up at Team WRT in the Sprint Cup, with another star pairing joining them in the shape of three-time Sprint Cup champions Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts. Sam De Haan and Calan Williams will also form part of the squad with the drivers of a fourth car to be confirmed.
