Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS has unveiled its full-season entry list for 2022, including a 25-strong contingent of Sprint Cup machines, ahead of the series' return to Brands Hatch on 30 April/1 May.
No fewer than six manufacturers are set to appear on the grid in the championship's shorter Sprint rounds, with Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche and Mercedes-AMG all expected to appear.
Audi will dominate the Sprint Cup entry when it comes to numbers, with no fewer than 11 machines in action. Four of these will be run by the enormously successful Team WRT outfit, one of which will be driven Motorcycle Grand Prix legend Valentino Rossi.
Other German manufacturers set to appear on the grid include Mercedes-AMG, which will have five entries on the Sprint Cup grid. These will include four from the successful AKKA ASP Team, plus one from SKY Tempesta Racing. Porsche will be represented by a pair of cars from Italian-run squad Dinamic Motorsport.
Fans of powerful Italian engineering are in for a treat too, with a number of race-prepared supercars from Lamborghini and Ferrari set to appear. These include the sole Huracan GT3 Evo of GSM Novamarine and a pair of 488 GT3s entered by long-time Ferrari entrants AF Corse.
McLaren will be the only British manufacturer with full-time representation on the Sprint Cup grid, with four entries. Two of these will be run by the Garage 59 team, with an additional car each for Jota Sport and JP Motorsport.
Two one-hour GT races will headline the Brands Hatch meeting, with pit stops, driver changes and strategy all adding to the drama. There will be a busy support race programme too, featuring the GT Cup Championship, all on the legendary full Grand Prix circuit.
