Several venue improvements have been made to Brands Hatch over the winter, ahead of another busy race season on two and four wheels, which begins at the Kent circuit next month.

This includes maintenance and repair of the trackside safety equipment such as barriers and tyre walls, both of which have been renewed at Paddock Hill Bend. The Kent circuit's iconic first corner has also seen its gravel trap regraded to ensure it's in perfect condition for 2022.

Tyre walls have also been replenished along the Brabham Straight, whilst kerb repairs have been undertaken at various points of the lap. This includes at Clearways, where major drainage improvements have been made.

On top of that, there has been a range of general improvements, including triple guardrail post upgrades across the site, works to repair where damage has been done just beyond the kerb lines, and other general venue preparation.

Brands Hatch Circuit Manager Mike Lally said:"We've carried out a number of works over the off-season, all of which are tailored towards ensuring Brands Hatch continues to operate at the standards expected of a leading UK motorsport venue. This winter, we've focussed on a range of smaller projects, which all add up ensure the venue is in an excellent place ahead of the 2022 season."

The 2022 Brands Hatch season kicks off with the BMCRC Club Bike Championships on 12/13 March, ahead of the first headline event on 16/17 April - British Truck Racing. For more information about the Brands Hatch season, click here.
