Kevin Tse and Chris Lulham will start the final British GT Championship race of 2026 from pole position after topping the aggregate times at Brands Hatch this afternoon (Saturday). They’ll start the two-hour race on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit alongside championship leaders Rob Collard and Hugo Cook.

During the opening 10-minute session for GT3 Am drivers, it was Marc Warren who set the pace in an Optimum Motorsport McLaren, edging out Barwell Motorsport pilot Collard by just over two tenths of a second. Tse was third, just a whisker further back in the 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG he shares with Lulham.

But things swung firmly in Tse and Lulham’s direction during the final moments of the second 10-minute session, when the latter produced a time of 1m22.686s, the fastest of the qualifying period. This came in a high-speed final few minutes following a red flag interruption after Ross Gunn went off in the Beechdean Aston Martin at Clark Curve.

Cook was only able to set the fourth fastest time in that Pro segment, but it was enough to ensure he and Collard will start from the outside of the front row ahead of the final title push. Marcus Clutton’s effort, just under three tenths behind Lulham’s benchmark, was enough to secure third for himself and Simon Orange.

Ben Barnicoat, who set the pace throughout practice was second in the pro section, which guaranteed a fourth place start for himself and Morgan Tillbrook. Jack Brown was almost nine tenths off Lulham, meaning he and Warren will start fifth despite the latter’s table topping performance in the Am session. The Century Motorsport BMW of Jonathon Beeson and Charles Clark completed the top six.

In the GT4 class, it was Josh Stanton and George Gamble who headed the order once the flag fell on two more 10-minute sessions. Stanton was quickest overall in the initial track period before Gamble backed it up with another strong run to secure an aggregate best time more than half a second clear of the next best.

The Optimum Motorsport duo’s nearest rivals was another McLaren entry, that of Paddock Motorsport with Revie Lake and Blake Angliss at the wheel. Luke Shaw and Jack Mitchell’s Ginetta completed the outright top three among the GT4 runners.
