British GT’s 2026 champions will be crowned at Brands Hatch on 26–27 September, when the championship brings its season to a close with a two-hour contest on the full Grand Prix circuit. The headline fight is in the marquee GT3 class where, where Barwell Motorsport’s Rob Collard and Hugo Cook arrive with a 15.5-point advantage over teammates Alex Martin and Jarrod Waberski. The two Lamborghini crews will have McLarens in their rear-view-mirrors though, with Morgan Tillbrook and Ben Barnicoat (Optimum Motorsport) and Marcus Clutton and Simon Orange (Orange Racing by JMH).
The outsiders for that outright prize are Andrew Howard and Ross Gunn in the Beechdean Motorsport Aston Martin. For Howard, the event is especially significant as the two-time champion will bow out of full-time competition following the finale at the Kent circuit.
While the GT3 battles is in the balance, the GT4 class fight is wide open with two crews tied on 127 points at the top. Thomas Holland and Hadley Simpson (Innovation Racing) lead Jack Collins and Branden Templeton (Century Motorsport) on countback with Jessica Hawkins and Will Ortin only a further six points adrift for MK Racing.
Strategy will be key in the two-hour feature race on Sunday, with driver changes, pit stops and traffic management all playing a key role around the venue’s famous woodland GP layout. There are also pit stop success penalties to account for and, as winners of the most recent race, Collard and Cook will be hit by this harder than any of their rivals.
British GT action will be split across the two days with Free Practice and Pre Qualifying on Saturday ahead of a split-qualifying session with aggregate times determining the final outcome. Teams and drivers will have one final opportunity to hone their cars on Sunday morning in Warm Up ahead of the title deciding race. Click here to view the timetable.
The full programme for the weekend also includes the GB3 Championship single-seater series, which hosts its penultimate triple-header of the year.
