Ash Sutton has signed a new five-year contract to remain in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship with NAPA Racing UK.
The announcement follows a landmark campaign which culminated with Sutton securing a record-breaking fifth BTCC Drivers' title. This was followed by news of Sutton’s decision to commit his long-term future to the team during the Brands Hatch finale weekend.
Sutton first joined the outfit in 2022, before going on to claim his first title with the squad, and fourth overall, a year later. The partnership has produced 31 wins and two titles to date.
"I'm over the moon to agree a new contract to continue my journey in the British Touring Car Championship for the next five years," said Sutton.
"Over the last five years, we've had plenty of success, broken records, and made history together. I'm equally excited about what the future holds, to see what I can go on to achieve in my career and also this incredible journey with the team and its partners."
Sutton said continuity was crucial to maintaining momentum in the championship.
"Continuity is so important in the BTCC,” he added. “I already know I have the best team behind me, all chasing the same end goal. Having my future guaranteed this early gives me the perfect platform to have a strong winter programme and to then come back next season in the best way possible. This championship doesn't stand still, and I don't plan to either."
Tickets for the 2027 BTCC events at Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park and Snetterton are available at discounted advance prices from 3pm tomorrow (Monday 12 October).
