Trucks and Fireworks weekend ends with a bang at Brands Hatch

01 November 2026

Brands Hatch ended its 2026 major events calendar in fine style with a ‘big bang’ fireworks display bringing the Trucks and Fireworks in association with Dynes event to a thrilling close. The fireworks brought the curtain down on a blockbuster weekend of entertainment on and off the circuit.

On the track, David Jenkins created the headlines by claiming his first British Truck Racing Championship title in a decade and a half. Following two Saturday wins, Jenkins sealed the crown with a fifth place with two races to spare. That was enough to make certain of the prize despite title rival Stuart Oliver streaking to victory ahead.

In the Division 2 class, the title fight also went down to the final day, and in this case the final race. It was Callum Eason who prevailed, defeating Jake Evans in a reversal of the previous season’s decider at the same venue.

The meeting also saw the TCR UK Championship come to a close, with Callum Newsham taking the title after winning the last race of the season, fending off Maximus Hall to do so. In the Pickup Truck Racing Championship, it was Allen Cooper who was crowned as champion.

But at this event like no other, there was so much else for fans to enjoy beyond that. This included illuminated funfair rides into the evening, plus a not to the circuit’s past as a rallycross venue with a display and demonstration.

Then, as is traditional, the show trucks took to the circuit for a glowing twilight convoy before the sell out crowd counted down to the fireworks display and rockets took to the night sky.

Brands Hatch now hosts just two more race events in 2026, with the Britcar Into the Night Race next Saturday (7 November) followed by an MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) event on 14/15 November. The latter includes the 500-minute EnduroKA race which will formally close the circuit’s Century of Power season.
