The second event of the 2026 EuroNASCAR season took place in France last weekend, and two familiar names reached the top step of the podium ahead of the series’ trip to Brands Hatch next weekend.
In the first of two V8GP races, current championship-leader Vittorio Ghirelli claimed victory by just under five seconds in his Chevrolet Camaro from the Ford Mustang of Jordan O’Brien in second. Paul Jouffreau was handed a 30-second penalty which dropped him from the last spot on the podium, right down to 14th.
The Frenchman bounced back in front of his home crowd in race two, pipping Thomas Krasonis, who set the fastest lap in both races, by just two seconds. O’Brien rounded out a successful event by claiming his second podium in as many races.
Ghirelli just missed out on the rostrum in fourth, less than a second shy of taking home another trophy. Gianmarco Ercoli came home in fifth. Ghirelli leads the championship by 24 points after the first two events, having finished inside the top five in every race so far this season.
The EuroNASCAR championship now gets ready to make the journey to Brands Hatch to headline the on-track action at American SpeedFest on 6/7 June.
