Spectacular demonstration runs on both Saturday and Sunday will form part of the all-new London Historic Trophy event, curated by Motor Racing Legends. These will revive the sound, speed and visual drama of one of the most memorable chapters in the history of the circuit.
Four Porsches will feature, including the all-conquering 956 and its replacement, the 962. Between them, Porsche claimed glory in nearly every major Group C race on the planet, adorned in the iconic Rothmans livery, which will grace the Brands Hatch tarmac once again as the circuit celebrates a Century of Power.
Beloved Silk Cut-liveried Jaguars will demo too, with the XJR-8 and XJR-12 taking part, as well as the XJR-5, the car that returned Jaguar to Le Mans for the first time since the 1960s. Additionally, the Sauber-Mercedes C11 will join a C9 on track, with Kenny Acheson back at the wheel of the same model with which he won the 1989 Brands Hatch 1000kms.
Finally, the Nissan R90CK and NPT-90 marked the zenith of the Group C era and, along with the cult-favourite Spice SE89P and SE90P, they round out this titanic demo line up. Click here for more information on the Group C demonstration.
What to expect this June
The London Historic Trophy is a brand-new Motor Racing Legends event at Brands Hatch on 19-21 June. Across three days, it will feature 14 historic races on both the Indy (Friday) and Grand Prix (Saturday/Sunday) circuits, with cars spanning the 1920s to the 1990s, including sports cars, GTs, pre-war machinery and single-seaters. There’s open access to the superbly presented cars, paddock and pit garages too.
