ZYN BSB FP2: Redding rides to the top at Brands Hatch

Scott Redding was on top in the second ZYN British Superbike Championship Free Practice at Brands Hatch this afternoon, firing the Hager PBM Racing Team to the top of the times ahead of this afternoon’s final Pre-Qualifying session.

Redding had set the benchmark throughout the session, as his rivals aimed to hunt him down with Kyle Ryde 0.448s adrift at the chequered flag on the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati.

Leon Haslam was also moving up the order and in the final stages he moved up to third as Danny Kent was also on a charge into fourth place on the Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha.

Glenn Irwin had been reviewed by the BSB Medical Team after the opening session and was declared fit to continue, he climbed to fourth place on the second of the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducatis, easing Christian Iddon back into sixth on the Sencat Yamaha.

Ilya Mikhalchik surged to seventh for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad British Superbike Race team, with Bradley Ray in eighth place after several final lap improvements from his rivals.

Rory Skinner and Lee Jackson completed the top ten, ahead of Pre-Qualifying coming up next at Brands Hatch to decide the top 12 riders through to tomorrow’s ROKiT Oxygen Performance Qualifying 2.
