Brands Hatch’s landmark centenary season kicks off with the MGJ Engineering Brands Hatch Winter Stages this weekend (Saturday 17 January). Tickets are available at discounted advance prices until 4pm on Thursday (15 January) – click here for more information and to book now!

Organised by the Chelmsford Motor Club, the event will act as the fourth event of this year’s Protyre Circuit Rally Championship. The Brands Hatch event comes at a key part of the campaign, with John Griffiths leading the standings, but knowing that Michael Igoe will be hoping to regain ground lost at Donington Park. There hasn’t been much between the duo on pace this season, and the latter has won the Brands Hatch event in each of the past two years.

Unlike other events at Brands Hatch, this weekend’s action will see the venue reconfigured into a sequence of challenging rally stages. The route will incorporate sections of the circuit itself, as well as the paddock and pit areas, creating challenges for the competitors which aren’t traditionally seen at the Kent venue.

The entry list features an eclectic selection of cars, including modern Rally 2 and R5 specification machinery which is likely to feature towards the sharp end.
