BTCC Free Practice 1: Cammish tops the times at Brands Hatch

04 October 2025

Dan Cammish topped the times in the opening Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship session of the weekend on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this morning (Saturday). The NAPA Racing UK driver lapped the Kent circuit’s longer layout in 1m30.510s to secure the top spot.

Cammish rose to the top of the times as the circuit dried up from a slightly damp start, setting his best time on the last of his 14 laps, with just seconds left to run. This was enough to go fastest by over two tenths of a second from Daryl DeLeon in one of the WSR-run BMWs.

Another of the German machines was third quickest, just ahead of Ash Sutton in his NAPA liveried Ford Focus ST. Sutton in fourth fared better than his title rival Tom Ingram, who could only manage 13th in his Hyundai, but in just the first practice session of the day, little can be interpreted from that.

Behind Sutton was another of the Fords, that of teammate Daniel Rowbottom, with Gordon Shedden’s Toyota completing the top-six. Jake Hill started his final weekend in the BTCC with a seventh place just in front of a trio of Team VERTU Hyundais with Adam Morgan, Tom Chilton and Senna Proctor completing the top-10.
