One of the club racing’s blue-riband events, the Formula Ford Festival returns for its 54th edition this weekend, once again featuring wheel-to-wheel action and a thrilling knockout format that always delivers drama. A strong entry of over 80 cars means that the event is expanded to four heats for this year, with contenders from across the globe hoping to progress through to the semi-finals and then the Grand Final, where one of the most iconic prizes in British motorsport awaits the victor.
Previous winners include Jenson Button, Johnny Herbert and Mark Webber, and the event continues to showcase exciting young talent, with 2022 victor Max Esterson now competing in FIA Formula 2.
For the 2025 edition of the festival, two special feature races for pre-1982 Formula Ford machines will take to the track to compete for the John Webb Memorial Cup, honouring the former Brands Hatch boss who was instrumental in the introduction of Formula Ford and its success. Additionally, a Q&A with some of the weekend’s competitors as well as some well-known faces from the festival’s past will take place in the Kentagon on Saturday evening.
There’s a strong support bill courtesy of the BRSCC too, with the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship, Fiesta ST240 Championship, Fiesta ST150 Challenge, Production Cup featuring the DS3 Cup, and CMMC Super Saloons and Tin Tops all competing.
Discounted tickets are available for £16 each day with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. After 4pm on Friday, tickets will only be available at full price on the gate. For more information, click here.
