Bradley Ray set a blistering pace in Bandero Café Shoot Out Qualifying at Brands Hatch to move to within 0.155s of the fastest ever lap on the Grand Prix circuit to secure the Omologato Pole Position and hold off title rival Kyle Ryde and Christian Iddon.

As the first flying laps came in, Ray had hit the top of the times first ahead of Lee Jackson and Ryde with the Raceways Yamaha rider upping the pace to continue to hold the leading position in the opening stages of Bandero Café Shoot Out Qualifying 2.

However, Ryde was determined and after a brief spell back in the pitlane with the Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha team, he was back on track and struck back with the fastest lap with four minutes remaining on the clock.

Ray wasn’t finished though and the Raceways Yamaha rider delivered an incredible final lap to take the Omologato Pole Position by 0.151s ahead of Ryde with Iddon holding third.

Tommy Bridewell heads the second row from Rory Skinner and Scott Redding, whilst Leon Haslam got nudged onto row three ahead of Danny Kent and Lee Jackson with Max Cook completing the top ten.
