Super Touring Power was an immediate hit when it debuted last year and transported fans straight back to the ‘90s. This year’s event will once more celebrate one of the BTCC's most fondly remembered eras. The legendary Super Tourers form the centrepiece of a meeting that features racing on the Grand Prix circuit on Saturday and on the shorter Indy layout on the Sunday.
The weekend is already taking shape with an ever-expanding race entry. This includes three Nissan Primeras, with two driven by current BTCC star Jake Hill and two-time championship runner-up Anthony Reid. An ex-Jason Plato Vauxhall Vectra will be competing too, as well as a much-loved Peugeot 406, Honda Accord and Vauxhall Cavalier examples. Special guests confirmed to attend include four-time BTCC champion Andy Rouse.
The Super Tourers will headline a race line-up curated by the Classic Touring Car Racing Club, with many other eras of saloon car racing celebrated. This will include two dedicated races for ‘80s Group A cars, including the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 and BMW M3 E30. Machines from the ‘60s through to the ‘00s are expected to compete during the two days with plenty more announcements expected between now and the event on 29/30 June.
Adult admission is available in advance for just £26 on individual days, with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. For more information about the event and to book now, please click here.
