Rodin Carlin’s Callum Voisin was the fastest driver in Saturday morning’s practice session at Brands Hatch, as the field of 24 drivers hit the Grand Prix circuit ahead of qualifying.

Voisin’s lap of 1m19.124s came at the midpoint of the 20-minute session, and was unbeaten for the final 10 minutes, though Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Alex Dunne was able to run him close with his final flying lap, putting him 0.079s behind in second.

Elite Motorsport’s Silverstone race winner McKenzy Cresswell went third quickest, a tenth of a second further back from Dunne, and 0.039s clear of JHR Developments’ championship challenger Joseph Loake, who delivered a final flyer of his own.

Tymek Kucharczyk held second for much of the final few minutes, but the Douglas Motorsport dropped down to fifth late on, three tenths ahead of JHR’s Matthew Rees.

The third JHR machine of David Morales was seventh, ahead of Elite’s Oliver Stewart, another driver to set his best time with a final effort.

Stewart was less than a tenth ahead of Fortec’s Jarrod Waberski, with Rodin Carlin’s Costa Toparis completing the top-10, which was covered by less than a second.

Qualifying is next up, and due to commence at 11.40.
