Leon Haslam meanwhile had a better start to the day, after some challenges yesterday; the 2018 Champion launched the ROKiT BMW Motorrad into second place with Josh Brookes completing the top three for the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team.
Charlie Nesbitt held fourth place for the MasterMac Honda by Hawk Racing with Niccolò Canepa completing the top five on the leading McAMS Yamaha.
Jack Kennedy held sixth place with Storm Stacey having a strong start to Saturday in seventh place ahead of Franco Bourne on the BSB Pathway specification Marvel HCL Motorsport Honda.
Jason O'Halloran and Fraser Rogers on the BSB Pathway specification IN Competition Aprilia completed the top ten.
The title-contending BeerMonster Ducati pairing completed some exploratory laps in the colder, drying conditions, so did not feature inside the top ten.
