MotorSport Vision (MSV) and NASCAR Whelen Euro Series organiser Team FJ have confirmed a new five-year contract extension, which will ensure Brands Hatch remains the UK’s home of NASCAR until at least 2028. The announcement comes on the eve of American SpeedFest 10 Powered by Lucas Oil, which celebrates a decade of NASCAR-headlined family entertainment at the Kent venue this weekend.

A staple on the European NASCAR calendar since 2013, American SpeedFest is firmly established as one of the series’ marquee events. Thousands of fans attend each year, and this summer’s edition is set to be the biggest yet, with major additions to the show including an improved Live Action Arena and the all-new SpeedFest Country music festival.

NWES President and CEO Jerome Galpin said: “Brands Hatch has always been one of the highlights of the NWES calendar. We work perfectly together with MSV and especially with David Willey and his team. In the past ten years, the American SpeedFest became a huge popular success and it was a natural choice to extend our agreement and keep bringing the excitement of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series to Brands Hatch and the amazing British fans. We are really happy and proud to continue evolving the event and make it even bigger and better.”

David Willey, MotorSport Vision Group Motorsport Event Manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Brands Hatch will continue to feature on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series calendar for the foreseeable future. Working together, we’ve built something special, not just for British NASCAR fans, but also families and those with a wider interest in American motoring, culture and food and drink. This year’s 10th anniversary event is already shaping up to be the best edition yet and we’re looking forward to being the official home of NASCAR in the UK for the next half decade.”

The Brands Hatch Indy Circuit hosted NWES since 2011, with the category first headlining the bespoke American SpeedFest two years later. Each SpeedFest features four NWES races, with door-to-door action accompanied by a full festival off-track programme. The event has featured several high profile drivers over the years, including former NASCAR Cup Series Champion Bobby Labonte, 1997 Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve, and Jeffrey Earnhardt, a member of the famous American NASCAR racing family.

Tickets for American SpeedFest 10 Powered by Lucas Oil will be available on the gate all weekend, with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. Details of the 2024 event will be shared in due course.
