The British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) makes its first visit of 2023 to Brands Hatch for a busy two-day event on the Indy circuit this weekend (15/16 April). A mixture of sports cars and tin tops will share the spotlight across Saturday and Sunday.
Highlights will include the opening round of this year’s Fun Cup Championship for silhouette race machines built to resemble the VW Beetle. Despite their appearance, these are fire-breathing race thoroughbred and they’ve been designed to race flat out over long distances – this weekend’s race will run for four hours.
Other championships and series in action include the Evolution Trophy, combining a range of cars, plus the Mazda Mk1, Mazda Mk1 Clubman, and Mazda Mk3 SuperCup classes for MX-5s. The Audi TT Cup Racing, BMW Compact Cup and MG Metro Cup will also feature.
The paddock will be open throughout the weekend too, enabling visitors to meet the teams and drivers and take a closer look at the cars as they’re prepared to hit the track.
Discounted advance tickets for the BRSCC Club Car Championships at Brands Hatch this weekend are available from £15 until 4pm on Friday, with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. Tickets will be available at full price on the gate after that. For more information, please click here.
