The 2016 season at Brands Hatch will get off to an early start on Sunday 31 January, with the return of the MGJ Engineering Winter Stages. A huge entry is set to contest a wide variety of stages that will transform the Kent venue.
The rally forms the fifth round of the brand new Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship, which runs until spring and has already visited Oulton Park and Cadwell Park. The championship is proving to be a hit with competitors, and a capacity entry is expected to be heading to Brands Hatch this January.
Previous rounds have featured an eclectic mixture of rear-wheel-drive Ford Escorts and Lotus Sunbeams, 80s hatchbacks including the wild Group B Metro 6R4, and the iconic four-wheel-drive Ford Sierra Cosworth, Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo models.
The rally will be based entirely within the bounds of Brands Hatch, where spectators will be able to see the action from most of the venue's popular viewing spots. Stage routes will cover the Indy circuit's tarmac in both directions, plus the pits, paddock, access roads and dedicated rally stage. Visitors will also be able to see the cars being prepared in the special rally paddock, which will be located along Colin Chapman Way.
The event will run into darkness, with blazing headlights, flaming exhausts and glowing brake discs adding a spectacular element to the proceedings!
2015 Residents' Passes will still be valid for this event
Tickets for the MGJ Engineering Brands Hatch Winter Stages are available for £12, with free entry for under-13s. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
