MSV UPDATE – 15.05.20: TRACKDAYS AND TESTING TO RESUME THIS MONTH

21 May 2020

In line with the phased guidelines announced earlier this week by the UK Government, we are now taking the first steps to re-opening the MotorSport Vision (MSV) business. Accordingly, circuit activity will resume at all our UK venues (Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Cadwell Park and Bedford Autodrome) on a gradual basis from next Monday onwards (18 May).

Initially this will involve running exclusive and semi-exclusive testing for professional race teams. This will be followed by car and bike trackdays (both MSVT and those run by third-party operators, e.g. Javelin, No Limits etc) and general test days. We intend operating these from Tuesday 26 May onwards*, with measures in place to maintain social distancing in accordance with government guidelines. Details of the new procedures in place, which include online registration and briefing, can be viewed here. This document will be emailed to relevant customers in advance of their event.

Our track hire, MSV Trackdays (MSVT) and testing departments will re-open, with reduced numbers working remotely from home, on Monday 18 May. We anticipate a large number of enquiries so please only contact us if you have an urgent query. All bookings can be made online via our MSVT and Testing websites.

Credits for test days and MSVT track days due to take place before 26 May will be issued automatically and you will be notified by email once this has been completed. We have a considerable backlog to process so there may be a delay of up to two weeks.

Everyone who is booked to attend a third-party trackday up to and including Monday 25 May should visit the organiser's website for further information.

PLEASE NOTE: Spectators, friends and family members will not be able to attend a track or test day until further notice. And overnight stays are not permitted at any venue under current guidelines.

*MSVT's first operational date will be Monday 1 June.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING RACE EVENTS AND DRIVING EXPERIENCES

Please note that everyone else in the MSV business is furloughed and communication channels remain closed. We aim to reopen as soon as possible but in the meantime please see below details of arrangements for race events and driving experiences. Our offices are shut until further notice so please do not telephone or email. If you have a query that is not covered by the below list, please wait until our offices reopen to get in touch.

Event tickets/season passes
All motor racing until at least 30 June has been suspended and those affected events have been postponed. All tickets will be valid for the rescheduled event. If you let us know that you can't make the rescheduled date once it's been announced, or if a race meeting is not rescheduled at all, you will be entitled to a credit or a refund. We will review the effect on season pass holders throughout the year and ensure that any significant loss of entitlement is managed fairly.

Driving experiences
All MSV driving experiences (F4 Master, Rally Master, YoungDrive! etc.) will be postponed until at least 30 June. Everyone who is booked to attend an MSV driving experience (F4 Master, Rally Master, YoungDrive! etc.) up to and including this date will be able to book a replacement date in due course. Any vouchers that are due to expire will automatically remain valid until three months after driving experiences resume.

Customers of the PalmerSport event will be contacted separately regarding arrangements at Bedford Autodrome.

Thank you for your support and understanding during these difficult times.
