There will be 23 races from MSVR this weekend (14/15 May) featuring a diversity of racing from single-seaters, sports cars and tin tops on the famous Indy Circuit.
The F3 Cup for recent Formula Three machinery headlines the single-seater bill. Shane Kelly has a healthy lead at the top of the championship after winning all three races at Donington Park, but that could easily change on the Indy circuit. Paddock Hill bend can catch even the best drivers out, but taken well can provide a great overtaking opportunity on the run up to the tight Druids hairpin.
Additional single-seater thrills will be provided by the Champion of Brands series for classic Kent-engined Formula Ford cars, and the Monoposto series, which is open to a wide variety of machinery, from bike-engined Formula Jedis to modified F3 cars.
Bumper-to-bumper touring car action can be found in the VAG Trophy, which is open to all VW Group cars, and the Production BMW Championship for 1980s BMW E30 3-Series cars. The field is opened up to all manner of tin tops in the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons series.
There will also be sports car action with Radical's prototype-style machines in action. The Radical SR1 Cup for novices is joined by the Radical Challenge, both providing a flavour of Le Mans.
If that wasn't enough, there will be Lotus racing on both days with the Lotus Cup featuring Elises, Exiges and 2-Elevens racing on the Saturday and the Lotus Elise Trophy on Sunday. The championships regularly provide thrilling drama on track between the much-loved high-performance sports cars.
The paddock will be open to spectators for free allowing you a closer look at what's racing and the chance to meet the drivers.ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.
Lotus Elise TrophyDeveloped from the Lotus on Track trackday club, the Elise Trophy’s packed grids provide door-to-door racing and is highly competitive.
