The Aston Martin Owners Club is into it's 82nd year this year and the sound of Aston Martin engines will once again be heard around the Kent circuit from classically-modelled sports cars of the 1950s to contemporary GT cars, a diverse selection of machines will be in action.

The oldest appearing machines will star in the '50s Sportscars series, recalling a golden era of motor racing, in which Aston Martin won the Le Mans 24 Hours race with the legendary DBR1. The newest machines compete in the GT Challenge, for cars running close to British GT-specification.

Other racing highlights include the Innes Ireland Cup for pre-66 GT cars, named in honour of the renowned Aston Martin Le Mans racer and Grand Prix winner, and the Equipe GTS, in which cars are run to FIA Appendix K regulations, similar to those used in the 1960s.

Aston Martins will have to fight for manufacturer honour in the AMOC Intermarque Championship, where they will battle such names as Ferrari, Porsche and Jaguar.

Equipe GTS

Running to regulations similar to those that would have been used in period, this series is for historic production sportscars. Entries frequently include beautiful machines from racing's halcyon days, including many ex-works models.

Intermarque GT Challenge

The Intemarque GT Challenge allows the owners of cars other than Aston Martins to test themselves against the British motoring icon. Ferraris, Porsches and Jaguars will all attempt to vanquish the 'home favourite'.

50s Sports Cars

Harking back to an era in which all-rounders like Sir Stirling Moss were the stars of the show, 1950s Sports Cars recreates one of the most pioneering ages in endurance racing. Expect to see plenty of classic Aston Martins and Jaguars out for this.

Aston Martin GT Challenge

The GT challenge allows many of Britain's finest gentleman drivers to battle in 445 bhp Aston Martin V8 Vantages. With aerodynamics, ABS and traction control these are some of the country's most advanced club machines!
