Brands Hatch (Indy)
Saturday 23 - Sunday 24 April 2016

The 750 Motor Club hosts an eclectic weekend of single-seater, sports car and tin top racing this weekend. Expect plenty of packed grids, particularly in the well-supported Tegiwa Civic Cup, and Formula Vee single-seater championship.

The paddock will be open, allowing spectators to get a closer look at the machines as they're prepared for battle.

WHAT'S RACING  (click on any image for a larger view)

Demon Tweeks/Yokohama Locost Championship

Locost races often boast capacity grids of affordable machines built to the design set out in Ron Champion’s ‘Build Your Own Sports Car’. All machines must be able to pass an MOT on raceday.

750 Formula Championship

The 750 Formula Championship is a category for sports-prototype machines in which the drivers sit in an offset position. Many of these machines are unique, customised by enthusiasts and stable regulations have lead to a level playing field.

Classic Stock Hatch

This category features retro hatchbacks built prior to 1992. With tightly controlled regulations and a BTCC-style success ballast system the racing is guaranteed to be close.

Disklok RGB Championship

GB Championship (Road-Going Bike-engined cars) is for two-seater cars built to road-going specification and capable of passing an MOT on the day of the event. The grid features a mixture of road-going and production models.

Protech Sport Specials

This category is open to production sports specials including Caterhams and Westfields as well as one-off machines. All cars must use an engine from a production car, though modifications are allowed.

Formula Vee

These races are open to a plethora of different single-seater machines, powered by VW engines. Wings are prohibited, allowing for close wheel to wheel racing similar to that seen in Formula Ford.

Tegiwa Civic Cup

This series is open to all Honda Civics built between 1990 and 2013. With control tyres and a tight set of regulations racing in this series can be particularly action-packed.

Toyota MR2 Championship

This championship is open to all normally-aspirated models of the Toyota MR2. Japanese import models are permitted as well as UK versions. Regulations are fairly strict in order to maintain a level playing field.
