BRDC Formula 4 Winter Series
Brands Hatch (Indy)
Saturday 22 - Sunday 23 November 2014

The BRDC Formula 4 Winter Series headlines this weekend's entertainment, with a grid of aspiring single seater stars set to take cente stage. This will be the second running of the series, with drivers from the main championship joining new faces. With four races at Brands Hatch remaining, Will Palmer leads Gaetano Mauro by 12 points.

BRDC F4 is the UK's most competitive single seater series, and has attracted a strong international line-up for 2014, with the main championship won by George Russell. Front runners from the series have beceome finalists in the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, and have gone on to race, and win, in Europe.

Each day will see one 20-minute qualifying session and two 20-minute F4 races, meaning a total of four races per weekend. With a prize fund of £10,000 for the top-three finishers, the racing will be hard fought, and as usual with F4, very entertaining!

Other series in action this weekend include the MSVT Trackday and Team Trophies for drivers making the step from trackdays to racing. Grid sizes reach capacity levels, with a huge variation of tin tops! Further racing comes from the Victor Meldrew Trophy, an irreverent end-of-season contest for drivers that didn't quite make Formula 1, and additional single seater action from the annual Formula Vee Festival, for VW-engined single seaters, and the Monoposto championship, which is renowned for huge and varied grids.

This event will utilise an open paddock format, allowing fans to meet the teams and drivers as well as get a closer look at the racing machines in preparation.

Duo BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy

The Duo BRDC F4 Autumn Trophy provides an affordable arena for young racers to progress from Karts to cars. This year's series marks the debut of the new Tatuus chassis - the fastest F4 car in the world, and the perfect stepping stone to F3.

MSV Trackday Championship

The MSV Trackday Championship is the next step for graduates of the Trackday Trophy, which is aimed at trackday drivers wanting to try their hand at racing. The TDC is a 60 minute team endurance open to a wide range of cars.

MSVT Trackday Trophy

The MSVT Trackday Trophy offers trackday drivers the perfect platform to take their first steps into competitive motorsport. There’s a friendly and relaxed feel to the series, but that doesn’t take anything away from the racing!

Victor Meldrew Trophy

A unique saloon car race with a handicap system that allows a varied grid with an extensive performance disparity to compete on a level playing field!

Formula Vee

These races are open to a plethora of different single-seater machines, powered by VW engines. Wings are prohibited, allowing for close wheel to wheel racing similar to that seen in Formula Ford.

Monoposto is a popular series for fans and drivers alike. It features two grids, one for smaller Jedis, Formula Fords, and Speads, the other for Dallaras, Ralts and Van Diemens. This series has some of the biggest grids in UK motorsport.
