The Classic Sports Car Club was set up in 2001 by enthusiast racers who wanted to offer racing at grass roots level. Since then, it has grown to over 800 members and runs more than ten race weekends each year.
The club runs a number of its own championships, allowing competitors to sample machines from as far back as the 'Swinging Sixties'. Minis are frequently the stars of the show, with examples of the original Cooper S frequently pulling off acts of giant killing just as they would have done in period. Other contests will include the Classic K regulations, cars running to a contemporary ruleset to recreate motorsport's halcyon days as accurately as possible.
This meeting will also feature the CSCC Special Saloons, recalling an era in which heroes such as Gerry Marshall pedalled outrageously modified saloon machines.
Don't forget to visit the paddock too and the opportunity to see the cars up close as they are being prepared.ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.
Swinging SixtiesJaguar E-types, Ford Mustangs and Aston Martins battle for track position in a series solely for 1960s machinery, recalling a golden era of sports and saloon car racing.
Classic KThis category is for machines run to Appendix K regulations, meaning that the rules contemporary to the machines being raced. With that in mind you can rest assured that driving skill will be rewarded and no modern driver aids will be employed.
Future ClassicsThis is a series for cult favourite machinery, on the cusp of being considered an all time classic. 70s and 80s Jaguars and Porsches are popular but other machines appear too.
JEC Classic Spares/Toyo Tires Jaguar Saloon and GTThe Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club runs this championship for GT and saloon cars from the iconic British marque.
Tin TopsThe tin tops series caters for everything from the Mini Cooper S to the Honda Civic Type-R. Normally aspirated hatch backs and saloons provide the perfect low cost stepping stone into the world of classic racing.
Modern ClassicsThis series is for powerful 90s machines, catering for both high capacity saloons and two-seater sportscars. Cars must be predominantly production based with treaded tyres.
Gold Arts Magnificent SevensCaterhams, Westfields, Lotus Sevens and any other similarly-shaped machines are eligible to compete in this lightweight battle. Winning drivers will have to start the subsequent race from the pits, setting up a possible charge from the back.
