The BRSCC comes to Kent this August with a line-up of races demonstrating nimble lightweight sportscars, most notably the Caterham, several varieties of which will be in action.

There will also be action from Mazda MX5s, bringing a Japanese flavour to Brands Hatch.

The paddock will also be open, offering spectators a chance to get a closer look at the race machines in preparation.

Using a bespoke race-prepared chassis the Caterham Superlight R300 Championship is Caterham’s premier racing category. The car’s superlight frame combined with a 175bhp power unit makes the R300 one of the nation’s most formidable track machines.

Avon Tyres Caterham Supersport Championship

Caterham Supersports are track prepared machines with no headlights or windscreens. Combined with race-specification suspension these cars are perfect for racers aiming at graduating to the R300 category.

Avon Tyres Caterham Tracksport Championship

Tracksports form another rung on Caterham’s UK racing ladder. Powered by Ford Sigma power, these machines run with no windscreen or headlights, though these can easily be re-attached for road use.

Avon Tyres Caterham Roadsport Championship

Roadsports offer drivers a first step into the world of lightweight sportscar racing. Cars race with bespoke racing tyres and however they are fully road legal and competitors can drive home in them at the end of the meeting.

BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship

Examples of Japan's most iconic roadster do battle in this sports car battle. Races are thrilling with packed grids and evenly -matched machines.
