Coulthard discusses DTM 2012:
DTM 2011 highlights:
DTM (German Touring Cars)
Brands Hatch (Indy)
Friday 18 - Sunday 20 May 2012

DTM is back at Brands Hatch this weekend! The prestigious German touring car series features phenomenally quick cars that lap Brands Hatch around 7 seconds faster than a British Touring Car, averaging 104mph. Racing on the 'bullring' Indy circuit, fans can see all of the action, including lightning-quick pitstops.

DTM is embarking on a new era in 2012, with new cars and the addition of a third manufacturer, BMW. Triple WTCC champion Andy Priaulx joins reigning DTM champ Martin Tomczyk in their line-up. Meanwhile, 2005 DTM champion and McLaren F1 test driver Gary Paffett leads the standings heading into his home round with fellow Mercedes driver Jamie Green close behind. The field also includes former F1 winners Ralf Schumacher and BBC F1 commentator David Coulthard.

The action is backed up by a fantastic support bill, with the VW Scirocco R-Cup on Saturday featuring Damon Hill, Mark Blundell, Martin Donnelly, Julian Bailey, Perry McCarthy and David Brabham.

Also in attendance on Sunday will be 2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button, who will be driving a Mercedes DTM 'race taxi' and taking part in a Q&A session at 11.10am on Sunday outside the Mercedes hospitality suite, behind Pit Straight grandstand.

The F3 Euro Series, spectacular NASCAR Euro Racecar Series, Formula Ford, VW Racing Cup, Lotus Cup UK and Elise Trophy will also be appearing.
